Fairburn's Eggs
A proud Lincolnshire food and farming business, Fairburn’s Eggs supplies deliciously fresh eggs to the best food retailers across the UK. It is passionate about promoting the quality and diversity of British produce, and supporting the hard work of the food heroes feeding the nation.
Fairburn’s Eggs is a third-generation Lincolnshire family business, first founded in 1951 by Leslie James Fairburn, who purchased 150 chickens for £150.
From those humble beginnings, Fairburn’s Eggs has taken the food and agriculture industry by storm, becoming one of the largest egg producers in the UK, packing and distributing 17 million eggs a week. It is now run by the founder’s grandson Daniel Fairburn with his wife Sarah Louise and sisters Sarah and Caroline.
Eight years ago, Fairburn’s made the decision to go independent. Since then, their dynamic and young team have never looked back, continuously identifying ways to challenge, innovate, and inspire the egg market. Forging truly impressive and strong personal relationships with most of the country’s leading food retailers, Fairburn’s have built an expansive network of egg producers and loyal customers across the county.
Fairburn’s boldly and proudly take a field-to-fridge approach to their business. Growing its grain on-site, so it can be transformed into bespoke, all-natural feeds for its hand-reared hens, ensures Fairburn’s eggs are a class apart from competitors.
The company was at the forefront of the premium egg movement when it created its own bespoke hen breed, the British Blue®. These exclusive hens were developed, hatched and reared in Lincolnshire, and their eggs boast a vibrant golden yolk and rich, luxurious taste, winning a Great Taste Award. They are sold both locally in Lincolnshire and in major stores across the UK.

Glorious Game aims to help increase the appeal of this hugely underappreciated but delicious, lean and nutritious meat. Inspired by her upbringing in the Angus Glens, and her Grandmother, who was a wonderful cook, Sophie has always been obsessed with food but is only too aware that not everyone shares her passion for game, which is often over-looked, or disliked for no good reason.
