National Trust

“We are proud to support British Food Fortnight with its ambition to raise awareness of the range of food and drink products that this country has to offer; and to firmly put British farmers and producers on the map.

“As a conservation charity, we support sustainable British farming. We’re working with our tenant farmers and partners to restore healthy, beautiful and productive landscapes that are rich in nature.

“We believe that it’s possible to produce great food, whilst farming in a way that benefits wildlife. To do this we will need skilled people on the ground, farming and managing land – often in innovative ways. Achieving this will require the right support from government, rewarding farmers for managing the land for a range of public benefits: wildlife, food, public access, reducing the risk of flooding and holding carbon in the soil. In this way, the long-term future for farming in Britain can be secured.”
