The Welsh Produce mission is to bring global buyers and Welsh producers together through virtual trade without travel opportunities.


Working collaboratively with the Welsh Government and the food and drink producers based in Wales the vision is to create a strong, thriving and vibrant Welsh Food and Drink sector with a global reputation for excellence, having one of the most environmentally and socially responsible supply chains in the world. The Food and Drink Wales strategic aims:

  • To grow businesses’ scale, value, and productivity, through targeted investment, support, innovation, and co-operative activity throughout supply chains, and by creating strong and diverse routes to UK and export markets.
  • To benefit our people and society by providing attractive careers and fair work, committed to developing the skills of the workforce, using resources sustainably, and encouraging businesses to play a part in addressing public health and poverty.
  • To create and communicate a global reputation for Wales as a Food Nation by showcasing the sector through Taste Wales, developing, and living sustainable brand values, widely adopting high production and accreditation standards, and celebrating businesses’ successes.


Welsh Produce a trading name of Sbarc Ltd was initially created during lockdown to support the food and drink sector based in rural Wales, who are passionate about supporting local farmers and fishermen to reach existing and new audiences.

                                                                                                                                                      Its initial mission was to give access to the latest digital technology to help best-in-class producers sell products and grow their business focusing on taking part in virtual events ‘Trade without Travel’.  This virtual event platform gives members an opportunity to reach and trade with a wider audience without the time and expense of attending a real show. Our virtual shows feature:


• A live stage (with up to 100,000 viewers)

• Live or recorded sessions (demos, virtual live tours etc)

• One-to-one networking sessions

• An exhibition for businesses (think of it as a virtual food hall)
