Captain Satsuma
My new book Captain Satsuma has Landed is designed to help children explore food in fun and interesting ways, encouraging them to be more adventurous with their food choices. The book is the first in a projected series of adventure, that will feature content on food, nature, the environment and sustainability. Knowing the importance learning to read plays in a child’s education I thought it would be a good idea for them to learn about food this way.
I’m based in Cornwall and have supported Cornish business’s in the production of my book. Printed in the county at one of the UKs most environmentally friendly printing factories, the book feature great colourful illustrations from a Cornish based illustrator as well as being edited and proofread by someone in Cornwall. The book is available exclusively via my website www.captainsatsuma.co.uk where you find more information on myself, together with downloadable recipes, fun facts and a short video. Please follow on Twitter, Facebook or Instagram for regular updates, events and future competitions. I’m a member of Love British Food.

Glorious Game aims to help increase the appeal of this hugely underappreciated but delicious, lean and nutritious meat. Inspired by her upbringing in the Angus Glens, and her Grandmother, who was a wonderful cook, Sophie has always been obsessed with food but is only too aware that not everyone shares her passion for game, which is often over-looked, or disliked for no good reason.
