Beef Bolognese
Suggested portions: 25(early years), 20(primary), 15(secondary)
Ingredients
1200g Minced Beef
121g Tomato Paste
100g Diced Onion
15g Garlic Powder
1g Mixed Herbs
1g Black Pepper
425g Chopped Tomatoes
100g Grated Carrots
265ml Water
15g Beef Bouillon
Method
1. Brown mince, onions and carrots in a dry pan, drain off all excess fat.
2. Add water and beef bouillon.
3. Cook mince until tender – approximately 30 minutes. DO NOT HARD BOIL AS THIS WILL AFFECT LIQUID QUANTITY.
4. In a mixing bowl add all other ingredients and blend until smooth.
5. Add to mince and simmer for a further 30 minutes.
