Tom Haward
The Haward family have been cultivating oysters in Mersea Island, Essex since the 1700s. The business
harvests oysters from 15 acres of oyster beds and sells over 1 million oysters annually throughout the UK.
The business is always growing and seeking to continue the legacy of eight generations to produce an oyster
that heralds British seafood and the hard work of oyster farming.
“I'm really pleased to be a Love British Food Ambassador because Britain has centuries of legacy in
regards to producing some of the finest food in the world. If I can help share that love and passion to
the British public and beyond, then I am honoured.”
