Leigh grew up living next to a farm in the New Forest before moving to London at sixteen, on his own, to start his career in catering/facilities management. Leigh is qualified chef, craft trained in hotels and restaurants then moved into contract catering, starting in the education sector as Chef Manager working up to Contracts Manager before moving into to healthcare in the middle of Covid pandemic
With over 16 years’ experience in healthcare and education catering, currently working for OCS, Leigh continues to drive improvement within the sector, focusing on provenance and unity for farmers and local SME’s
Already sitting on the Design Advisory Board for Soil Association, Leigh joins Love British Food as Ambassador and member of the Love British Food Hospital & Care Group, sharing his passion, enthusiasm and drive for British food and farming with public sector caterers.
