Sam Else
Sam Else is an organic dairy farmer from Staintondale, North Yorkshire. He attended Newton Rigg college where he completed an extended level 3 diploma in agriculture, specialising in dairy. After finishing his degree he returned home to the family farm which he now runs alongside his parents.
In 2021 Sam enrolled onto the Tesco future farmers foundation in which he was awarded a prestigious bursary enabling him to further his career and take part in the Entrepreneurs in Dairying training programme. This is an amazing opportunity for young farmers to gain valuable contacts and develop their existing business.
The programmes have increased Sam’s business knowledge and advanced his understanding of breeding and nutrition, helping him reach his main aspiration of gaining enough knowledge on dairying to take over the farm at home.
