Sue Bailey, BEd, MSc PhD
Sue is a highly experienced food communicator – on television, writing about traditional British foods and is an associate senior lecturer in Food Science. As a public speaker, consultant and educator she is often asked to demystify food science and explore food history.
Sue founded Cambridge Foodies four years ago after stepping back from full-time lecturing. Now she has been an on-screen presenter and food history consultant on Channel 4 for Great British Bake Off ,researching and recreating Tudor and Victorian dishes. Sue also often appears on Food Unwrapped and has featured as a food expert on BBC1, BBC2, ITV and Channel 5.
Sue regularly speaks on BBC local and national radio and co-presents a bi-weekly Cambridge based radio programme Flavour on food, interviewing local independent producers. Sue is a strong believer in seasonality and promoting regional and local foods.
