Philippa Vine
I grew up on a my family farm in East Sussex and married a 5th generation livestock farmer, Michael. We have four children who are now grown up but it was feeding a young family that made me aware of where our food was coming from, and made me focus of the importance of a healthy seasonal diet.
I was a food writer for Farmer’s Weekly magazine for 12 years and now I am a cookery demonstrator with my own professional kitchen featuring a selection of British made Esse range cookers, and as a chef I am a passionate advocate of local seasonal produce and what delicious dishes they can produce. I am thrilled to be asked to be an ambassador of Love British Food and keen to share with the general public what a dedicated community of small independent farmers and producers there are across the country and to encourage the reduction of food miles.
