Oliver and Charlie Hemsley
Oliver and Charlotte Hemsley founded Hollis Mead organic dairy in West Dorset in 2020.
They are passionate about helping people fall back in love with natural dairy and the pure, nutritional goodness it provides. Their cows are 100% pasture fed. They just eat grass and wild flowers grown on the farm. As a result, they produce less milk per cow than the average dairy farm but the taste and nutritional quality is supreme. They produce a glittering array of award winning, natural dairy products including cream, yoghurts, fine cheeses, butters, crème fraiche, cottage cheese and cultured kefirs. Hollis Mead is the only dairy and creamery of scale in the UK to be OF&G and Pasture For Life accredited. They seek very high standards of animal welfare, nature, and biodiversity on the farm.
They are big supporters of Love British Food and hosted a hugely successful farm visit for NHS caterers leading to the Somerset NHS Trust rethinking their tender process to enable SMEs to supply the county’s hospitals.
