James Day
For over 30 years, James Day has been involved in the hospitality industry as a promoter, marketer, publisher, reviewer and of course a passionate consumer.
From marketing Michelin-accredited chefs, and attending National Awards ceremonies to support and celebrate some of the finest culinary masters of Britain, including fellow Ambassador chefs, he has helped nurture new as well as adapt and re-focus established industry talent. James always focuses on the overall consumer experience, as well as encouraging the support of sustainable seasonal British produce at all levels, underpinned by exceptional service standards in the hospitality industry.
Through James's own company, GREATEST BRITISH Hospitality Co. www.greatestbritish.org he and his team have created a new generation of support, based on promoting ‘sustainability’ at all levels of the industry, leading to the ultimate 'Gourmet Experiences'.
More recently as head of "ICSA" the Not-for-profit 'Independent Cookery Schools Association' www.icsacookeryschools.org who are the only official accrediting body for professional private cookery schools in Great Britain,
James has applied his experience to support over 30 member cookery schools, including fellow Ambassador Raymond Blanc's Cookery School, in delivering their wide range of professional courses.
Each school delivers excellence in cookery skills and training, to aspiring domestic and professional career chefs in gaining new skills and qualifications.
James is now working on raising awareness for improving healthy eating in cookery schools, and applying Nutritional content to Chef education, domestic cookery courses and commercial menus.
