Eat Game
Eat Game is the leading game meat marketing campaign and is supported by the British Association for Shooting and Conservation.
Game is Britain’s natural harvest, with many species being totally wild, which means the meat is healthy, packed with minerals, high in protein and low in fat and cholesterol making it an excellent choice for a healthy diet. It is also rich in Omega-6 fatty acids. As wild animals they eat on their natural surrounding which is highlighted in the taste.
Many of the game animals need to be managed to prevent damage to woodland and crops and to ensure the species are kept healthy and strong.
Eat game campaigns to get more people to eat game by producing recipes, attending events to educate and allow the public to taste the meats. Education around the benefits, how to cook the meat, and field to fork journey is crucial to our work.
We work with partners to promote sustainability and ensure that the meat is produced to the highest standards. We work alongside the industry within the supply chain supporting and promoting their work.
An important part of our work is the annual Eat Game Awards where we highlight the great work that is going on in the game industry and reward those doing a fantastic job.
