Adrian Bartlett
Adrian started fishing in 1986, initially as a deckhand then working his way up to skipper on Crabbing boats or potters based in Kingswear, South Devon. Adrian has fished for edible brown crabs, native lobster and other shellfish all around the UK coast but mainly built his crabbing career in the English Channel in the tidal waters North of Alderney (Channel Islands) on various boats and for various owners.
Passionate about the UK Seafish industry, Adrian and friend Andy Hunting created Crabstock and for a number of years shared their knowledge and passion to the UK public and chefs at food festivals across the UK.
Now Adrian is Vice-Chair of Fishing into the Future, delivers health and safety awareness training and a Director of Ecomotus, which offers an innovative solution to helping reduce carbon emissions and deliver fuel efficiencies for fishing vessels. Adrian is also a Director of Plymouth Fishing and Seafood Association (PFSA) helping people to understand the value and benefit of buying local British fish, and supporting Seafood Plymouth.
