The national food celebrations took place at the end of September 2020,
in a slightly different form due to Covid, but were tremendous fun nevertheless!
This was the first time we had held an online experience for the national food celebrations. In lockdown year, all the fun of a food festival was here: cookery demonstrations, celebrity chefs, talks from leading people in the food world, nutritional advice, KidZone, food stalls, The Great British Food Fortnight Debate. This was the first day in Wales dedicated to the best Welsh food and drink. We were delighted it took place during British Food Fortnight.
Despite Covid-19, many of our traditional activities still took place around the country. Love British Food menus and promotions in hundreds of schools, hospitals, care homes and universities across the country. And promotions in local shops, butchers and farm shops. The Love British Food logo helped people to seek out British food when they were shopping, eating out or buying online.
