Ownsworth’s
Our family has been farming for several generations and our aim has always been to create top quality produce. On our mixed arable and stock farm in Fulbeck we grow wheat (our milling wheat is on contract to Warburtons Bakery and we won Northern Regional Grower Award in 2009), barley for malting and oilseed rape (from which our lovely rapeseed oil is produced by us on our farm). Our herd of pedigree Charolais cattle graze in the ancient parkland surrounding our vineyard and award winning self-catering holiday cottage.
Our home-grown rapeseed oil has a delicious buttery aftertaste, perfect for replacing butter or margarine in baking. It is so versatile in its culinary uses, you can not only fry and roast food and bake, but you can also make delicious dressings, marinades and mayonnaises.
Ownsworth’s home-grown rapeseed oil is simply extracted from the rapeseed by the process of gently squeezing it only once and simply filtering it to leave a pure, golden oil. There are no chemicals or additives to spoil our premium oil. Ownsworths have been awarded Runner Up “Producer of the Year” 2015 and Runner Up “Grower of the Year 2014 and 2015” in Select Lincolnshire’s Food & Drink Awards. Available to order on website.
