Great British Beef Week (23 - 30 April) kicks off on St Georges Day and in this most patriotic of years what better way to celebrate the 'Great' in Britain than with home-cooked British beef!  Improved breeding practices and new butchery techniques mean that British beef is now far lower in fat than it was 20 years ago and packed with vitamin D, zinc and iron it is a delicious part of a healthy, balanced diet.  It is also good value for money as the leftovers from a Sunday roast can be used in other meals during the week.
